KONOBA AVE, HUAPAI
Design Brief
Our client is a warm family of three with a very cute 2-year-old baby and a lovely dog. What they looking for is a warm and special home, a place that is only belongs to them as their first “new” home.
Land Info
The total area of this project is 375m² with flat terrain and relatively generous land width. The house is located south to north full of sunlight without any obstruction. Also, the backyard is a highly adaptable space.
Design Concept
The double garage demanded from our client is a great challenge to the Façade Design as the garage occupies a large part of the entire facade, it needs to be reasonably blurred to highlight the entrance door.
We use the concept of “near real and far virtual” plus “light colors show big and dark colors show small” to highlight the main structure of the rooms and blur the garage. The design of footpath is intended to plan people’s movement in lines and the “transparent” design of the entrance door makes the visitors being attracted by the progressive space. Finally, the light is used to brighten the space, equips the “into the house” extra sense of ritual.
Outcome
Their supporting needs for this house are just the needs of ordinary families. The most important part is they feel that “going home and entering the door” is the most relaxing and comfort moment of the day. Therefore, they yearn for a special entrance door design with a sense of ritual.
Our façade design is intended to give the owner a ritual of “wrapped in warm embrace welcome home” and also allow the visitors to feel their pursuit and love for a better life.
